Francis Goffin is the founder and director of numerous radio stations that have become market leaders, both in the private sector (from 1980 to 2003, successively at Radio Galène, RGN, RFM and Bel RTL) and in the public sector (RTBF radio stations from 2003 to 2018). Since 2018, he has been a senior consultant specialising in radio. He has been heavily involved in all aspects of digital radio distribution (via DAB+ and the internet), both at Belgian level as Chairman of the cooperative of all French-speaking Belgian radio stations for digital migration, maRadio.be, which he set up in 2014, and at international level as Chairman of the European Digital Radio Alliance (EDRA), a member of the Steering Board of WorldDAB and of the Technology and Strategy Group of Radioplayer Worldwide. He has also been involved in international organisations such as the EBU Radio Committee and the Assemblée de direction des Radios francophones publiques.
